What If You Stopped Requiring Printed E-tickets?

Do you really need to waste paper by requiring print-outs?

As a “passive” environmentalist, I get seriously annoyed when an event organizer requires me to bring a printed version of my e-ticket.

That’s a lazy, uncreative, and wasteful form of confirmation.

Instead of creating a master list of participants to serve a checklist, the burden is passed on to the attendee.

If 500 attendees print out their e-tickets, that’s a ream of paper that will contribute to the garbage problem.

If you organize events or workshops, I hope you’re not the person I’m describing in this article. But if you are, please consider some alternative forms of paperless registration.
